Directions from Rosslyn to Med-Dent C-104 and C-105 (3900 Reservoir Rd.):

Walking directions: From the Hyatt Centric (N. Walsh Street to Ft. Myer Drive), proceed down the hill to the Francis Scott Key bridge. Be sure to cross the bridge on the left hand side (against the direction of traffic flow). Once across the bridge, go straight across M-street/Canal road at the traffic light and walk up the hill with the cobblestone road (35th St.). Continue straight on 35th St. for three blocks and turn left onto O St. Continue three blocks until you hit the main gate of Georgetown at 37th and O Sts. Go through the main gate and take the diagonal path to your right. Pass through a large brick square (called red square) and proceed up the stairs. Continue straight, with the Reiss Science building on your left until you reach a street (Tondorf Rd.) with a crosswalk. Proceed across the crosswalk to cross Tondorf Rd. and go down the perpendicular sidewalk walking with the parking garage to your left and construction of the hospital to your right. Follow the signs for “MGUH Walkthrough” - this will lead you into the parking garage. Once you enter the parking garage, make an immediate right and continue straight until you see the exit to the parking garage (you will also see the parking attendants’ booths). Exit the garage and make a left going up the hill towards the hotel. Before you get to the Hotel you will see a pathway (constructed by fences) on your right. Please take this pathway and follow it around to the front doors and enter the Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center. Once you enter the Lombardi Center you can either take the stairs (to the left and behind you) or the elevators (on your left).

If you take the stairs – you will take them up to the second floor and proceed straight ahead through a door to the outside courtyard. Once you exit, you will follow the white signs to the “Medical Campus” and you will see the “Medical Dental Building” (it will be on your right side).

If you take the elevator – you will take them up to the second floor and proceed to your left through a door to the outside courtyard. Once you exit, you will follow the white signs to the “Medical Campus” and you will see the “Medical Dental Building” (it will be on your right side).

Once you are inside the MedDent Building take the hallway to the left of the elevators and rooms C-104 and C-105 will be the large auditorium on your right.

Plan on 30-35 minutes walking for the trip.

Walking directions from the southwest quadrangle parking garage: Take an elevator all the way up to the exit of the southwest quadrangle garage and proceed in a Northerly direction to North Rd. Turn left and then turn right onto West Rd. Walk up the hill and turn right (the entrance to the hotel will be on your right side). Walk past the hotel and make your first immediate left - there will be a constructed pathway with fences. Follow this pathway until you reach the front doors of the Lombardi Cancer center. Turn left down the path and follow the directions above.

This is a 10-15 minute walk from the garage.

Bus directions from Rosslyn: From your hotel, make your way to 19th St. and N. Moore St. The Georgetown University bus (called the GUTS bus) has a stop there. Take the bus onto campus. When it stops at the bus depot, you can walk past the bus stops to find a smaller "open-air" minibus or a van which will take into a parking garage. When you exit the “mini shuttle” take the elevator up to P1 (it will say Georgetown Hospital). When you exit the elevator, take the exit to the outside right in front of you. Once you exit, take an immediate left to go up the hill and you will see a make-shift pathway on your right. Follow this pathway to the Lombardi Cancer Center. Once you enter the Lombardi Center you can either take the stairs (left and behind you) or the elevators on your left.

If you take the stairs – you will take them up to the second floor and proceed straight ahead through a door to the outside courtyard. Once you exit, you will follow the white signs to the “Medical Campus” and you will see the “Medical Dental Building” (it will be on your right side).

Plan on up to 45 minutes for traveling by bus.

Uber, Lyft, or Taxi directions: Ask to be taken to the Med-Dent Building at Georgetown University, 3900 Reservoir Road, N.W., Washington

Plan on 35 minutes for traveling by taxi

In case of rain, we highly recommend taking the bus over (or a taxi), as crossing the bridge will likely get you soaked as the winds tend to force a lot of rain onto you as you cross the bridge.

Directions to the Hyatt Centric (1325 Wilson Blvd.): From Georgetown, you need to reverse the directions given above. If driving, the Hyatt has a parking garage. The address is 1325 Wilson Blvd. The metro is just a few blocks away as well.

Detailed maps with paths and venues marked are posted below.

Georgetown University is most easily accessible from one of the three area airports (Reagan National, DCA; Washington Dulles, IAD; and Baltimore-Washington, BWI). The easiest way to get here from the airport is via taxicab. The cost is approximately $30 from DCA, $60 from IAD and $100 from BWI. Other options like supershuttle are available. From DCA one can take the metro to Rosslyn and the hotel is a 5 minute walk away. From IAD, one can take a bus to the West Falls Church metro and then metro in to Rosslyn as well. From BWI, there is a MARC train plus metro option to get to Rosslyn too.

We have booked a block of rooms from April 14-17 for the workshop at the Hyatt Centric Arlington.  The rate is $199. The cutoff date is March 14, 2019, but all rooms are likely to be gone before then. The hotels will have an additional room tax of approximately 13.5%. Please reserve your room as soon as possible. Hotel rooms in Washington are expensive and can book up quickly. The link to use is

The Washington DC area has many hotels available, feel free to choose one of your own if the above choice will not work for you.

The hotel is a 25-30 minute walks to campus over the Key Bridge. The walk is quite pleasant if the weather is nice. Otherwise, the university runs a bus service from the Rosslyn metro which is a few blocks away. Be careful crossing the streets during rush hour! Washington drivers are not known to always stop.
